FAQs

If there are multiple authors and one wants to present the work but the others don't, can they prevent it?

No.  When there are multiple authors/copyright owners, they all share in the copyright and are free to exercise any of the bundle of rights belonging to the copyright owner (copy, distribute, perform, display, etc.).  One does not need permission from the others in order to present the work.  If, however, there is any monetary gain from what is done, it should be split among all the copyright owners.  Best practice is to discuss and agree on limitations (in writing) before it becomes an issue.
