Open Access

Open-access literature is digital, online, free of charge, and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions. Open access increases the visibility and impact of your research,  reduces library expenses for journals, and advances the university's mission to share knowledge.  Many higher ed institutions have adopted open access policies including Harvard, Stanford, MIT, U of Kansas, and many others.
