Kay and David Barnard have donated two significant ongoing named endowments to the University Library. One is for the library staff development for which any library staff member can apply for a grant to attend professional training. The other funds the Barnard Outstanding Staff Award. They also donated over 200 professional photographs to be sold with proceeds to be used for library needs.
The Rastkis endowment for engineering had contributed half the cost of the database subscription to IEEE Explore. This important resource contains the content of all the Institute and Electronics Engineers' periodical research, conference proceedings, symposium papers, as well as standards.
