Take the Library with you on the open web!

LibKey is a browser extension that connects library resources with web results. All you have to do is download the extension, select UW-Stout, and then look for these buttons on web pages to get linked to the full text from the library. Available for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Vivaldi, and Safari browsers.

Search for articles using a DOI or PMID

LibKey.io allows users to input a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) or PubMed Identifier (PMID) and connect to full text articles. It works with all browsers.

After searching for a DOI or PMID, you will be taken to the LibKey landing page with options for viewing the PDF or HTML version of the article (if available).

Virtually browse thousands of scholarly e-journals

BrowZine lets you virtually browse scholarly e-journals using a browser or mobile app. Subject categories help you find new journals relevant to your interests. With an optional personal account, you can create custom journal collections, set up new article alerts, and create personal article collections.


Without an account:

  • View a journal's table of contents, including a list of articles in press.
  • Get access to full text.
  • Browse and search for journals by title, academic discipline, and keyword.
  • Export citations to your favorite citation manager.
  • Share citations and BrowZine links.

With an account:

  • Use My Bookshelf to create custom journal lists.
  • Set up notifications when new articles in your journals are published.
  • Create custom article collections for your research and teaching needs.
  • Collections sync across your web and mobile devices.
  • On BrowZine mobile (iOS and Android) save PDFs for offline reading.
