Ink Spot: Comics + Games

The Ink Spot: Comics + Games is an innovative space inspired by a comics and game store concept that has collections that support the holistic student and several major academic programs at UW-Stout. The space is loaded with comics, graphic novels, manga, art/comics technique books, tabletop games, card and dice games and even a Fantasy & Sci-Fi Fiction collection. The Ink Spot also includes a game play zone with large tables to encourage play and exploration of the collections. It includes four drafting tables and a large cutting table and white boards to help promote creative endeavors.
The Ink Spot is located on the 3rd floor of the UW-Stout Library. The space has a variety of seating options and tables to be used for collaboration, creation, play, and study.
The gaming play space can be reserved and is home to the weekly meeting on Monday of the Tabletop Gaming student organization.

Comics and Graphic Novels (CGN)

The main comics and graphic novels collection consists of over 1,500 titles in a variety of genres including non-fiction, superhero, action, horror, science fiction & fantasy, indie, etc. Major publishers include Marvel, DC Comics, Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Boom! Studios, IDW Publishing and Valiant Comics.

This collection is organized alphabetically by primary author/creator/artist last name.

CGN - Manga

The growing Manga collection consists of over 500 titles. Manga is a Japanese style of comic books and graphic novels that typically read right to left, with a distinctive style of impressionistic backgrounds and big-eyed characters.

CGN - Professional

A collection of books supporting comic and graphic novel creators, including arts/comics technique titles, reference works, how to, art of, biographies, story and character development, and books about the impact of comics, graphic novels, and Manga on society.

A collection of the newest comics and graphic novels added to the UW-Stout Library.

CGN - Oversize

A collection of large format, artist editions, and special format comics and graphic novels.

CGN - Stout Comic Creators

A collection of comics, graphic novels, and cartoon works by UW-Stout students, faculty and staff.

A small collection dedicated to individual comic issues.

Tabletop Games (TTG)

A fast-growing collection of tabletop board games in all the major genres including bluffing, farming, abstract strategy, murder mystery, educational, economic, maze & labyrinth, classic, city building, engine building, deduction, fantasy, cooperative, deck building, negotiation, memory, dungeon crawler, puzzle, war, party, RPG, and more!

TTG - Roleplaying (RPG) Books

A collection of core rulebooks, campaign adventures, game mastery books, monster and player guides in the popular roleplaying words of Dungeons & Dragons, Coyote & Crow, Pathfinder, Star Wars, Marvel, Starfinder, Doctor Who, and more! This collection also includes starter sets, maps, and more!

TTG - Miniatures, Figurines, & Terrain

A collection of core rulebooks, campaign adventures, game mastery books, monster and player A collection of Warhammer and D&D figurines, miniatures, and terrain pieces. This collection is in-building use only.
