Printing and Scanning

UW-Stout students and staff are to receive first priority at the technology stations.  Other users will be asked to relinquish their place if Stout users are waiting.


Printing to Library's networked laser printers


  • PCs: Floors 1, 2, 4, 5.
  • Networked printers and print stations: Floor 1 Reference Area.


  • Black and white: 10¢ per page, self-service.
  • Color: 20¢ per page, self-service.

Print stations do not accept coins, so a UW-Stout Flexline, Baseline Plus, or Visitor copy/print card is needed.


  • 8 1/2 X 11"
  • 8 1/2 X 14"

Location of reader/printers:

  • University Archives/Area Research Center, Room 504A


  • University Archives machines require arrangements with Archives staff.

Several zoom lenses are available to provide a variety of enlargements.



Scanning print-to-disk, scanning slides / 35mm film to electronic storage media

  • Location of scanners: Floor 1 Reference Area.
  • Cost: No charge, self-service.
  • Provide own CD-R disc, or USB jump/flash drive.
