Main Collection J - Z

The Main collection is on Third Floor, Fourth Floor and Fifth Floor

 

Library materials are organized by the Library of Congress Classification System, an alphanumeric library classification system based on subject areas.

  • Call Numbers J - P are located on 4th Floor South.
  • Call Numbers Q - Z are located on 4th Floor North..
  • Search Search@UW to find an item and its call number.
  • Signs on the endcaps indicate the call numbers shelved in that stack.

Materials from the Main Collection can be checked out at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library.

Student Artist-in-Residence Art Collection

The Student Artist-in-Residence collection can be found on the 4th floor of the Library

 

 

Stout student artwork is part of the Student Artist-in-Residence program funded  by former UW-Stout president Bud Micheels.  Most artwork is located on the fourth and fifth floors.

Group Study Rooms

Group study rooms are located on the Fourth Floor of the Library

 

 

Two group study rooms are behind the fourth floor restrooms.

  • Allows for collaborative learning and practicing for presentations.
  • Equipped with white boards and the ability to screen share.
  • There are also group study rooms on the first and fifth floors.

The group rooms are not for individual study. Make a reservation.

Large Conference/Study Room

A large study room is located on the Fourth Floor of the Library

 

There is one large conference room 430E available for group study.  It may also be reserved for meetings (contact someone in Honors or the Library).

The room includes an overhead projector.  Check out the remote for the projector at the Circulation Desk on the first floor.

Honors College

Honors College and Nakatani are located on the Fourth Floor of the Library

 

Although not a library department, the Honors College is located in the Robert S. Swanson Library and Learning Center.

The Honors College assists students learning through taking risks and making connections between disciplines.
