Study Areas

 

Reserve a Study Room

Only current students, faculty, and staff are able to reserve study rooms.

Quiet Study Areas

  • The fifth floor is designated as the quiet study area.
  • Other floors have seating tucked along walls and book stacks that may be quieter.

Study Rooms and Areas

Only four people fit in each study room except 111A which can hold 6 students. Study rooms are equipped with large monitor or projection systems for screen sharing, whiteboards, tables, and chairs. Whiteboard markers are available at the Circulation Desk (1st Floor) for checkout with a Stout ID.

Open Group Study Locations

  • Library Instruction Lab, Room 111* when classes are not in session.
  • Room 211* when classes/meetings are not in session.
  • Room 221 large table and 4 chairs.

* Calendars with scheduled events are posted outside of rooms 111, 211, and 217.

Conference Spaces

 

RSLC 217

  • Large TV screen, screen sharing and conference software available with AirMedia and whiteboard.
  • Seats: 16-20
  • Open to campus staff groups for reservations. To reserve space, go to Library Space Reservation and then click on Space Request Form.
  • Locked when not reserved.

RSLC 220D

  • Large TV screen, screen sharing available with AirMedia, and whiteboard.
  • Seats: 6
  • Open to campus staff or students for reservations. To reserve, go to Reserve a Study Room.

RSLC 430E

  • Large TV screen, screen sharing available with AirMedia, and two large whiteboards.
  • Seats: 12
  • Open to campus staff or students for reservations. To reserve, go to Reserve a Study Room.

Classroom and Lab Spaces

 

RSLC 111 & 206

Scheduled through campus EMS. Requests can be sent to classrooms@uwstout.edu.

RSLC 211

  • Large screen TV, screen sharing available with AirMedia and whiteboards.
  • Seats: 20
  • Open to campus staff or student organizations for reservations. To reserve space, go to Library Space Reservation and then click on Space Request Form.
  • Room is open for use as spur of moment study space by students when not reserved.

Gaming and Digital Innovations Lab

  • Mobile projector and whiteboards. 16 major video game consoles (both vintage and new), 3 high-end PC's loaded with productivity software and access to a digital game catalog of more than 250 titles and Vintage Video Game collection of over 400 titles and a circulating current Video Game collection of over 1,200 titles that can be used in the GDI Lab. 
  • Seats: 24 students

  • Room is open for use as spur of moment study space by students when not reserved.
