Research practices are at the center of scholarship. Research skills competency is a complex matrix of knowledge practices and attitudes that are best developed systematically over time. In addition to course-limited research skills instruction, engaging students with authentic research is a high-impact educational practice (AAC&U) valued at UW-Stout. This guide outlines resources and support for instructors integrating research skills instruction at any level in their coursework at UW-Stout.
