Library Research 101: Requesting a UW-System Item

If the UW-Stout library doesn't own a book or other physical item, it might be fastest to request it from another UW-System school. Follow these steps to see if another UW-System school owns the item and request it.

Step 1: Change the search dropdown to UW Books/Media, enter your search, and click the "Search" button

Step 2: Make sure you're signed in

Step 3: Click "UW Request"

Step 4: Click "Request"

All done! You'll get an email notifying you when the item is available for checkout at the UW-Stout library.
